soft evening

It's been manic here again with heaving crowds on the beach and along the river.

Last night we had the Diamond Jubilee Concert on the beach followed by fireworks (from a pontoon out at sea). I think it was mainly local people who came. Lots and lots of family groups sitting with their picnics. Great concert with a great variety of music, people singing along, waving and enthusiastically taking part. The fireworks didn't disappoint either - great display.

It's been the end of a busy week. Cuddles with 8 week-old youngest granddaughter on two days this week, day out with both daughters and three granddaughters, painting with eldest granddaughter and doing 7 year-old type things on our days alone together, 60th birthday celebrations for Mr C on Thursday and Saturday and now a quiet day on our own today.
