Gnarled and twisted with age

Today was a rather damp and cold day with only grey skies and dull light.
I liked this old tree growing up the colonnade in the Valley Gardens, but sadly it didn't photograph too well.
Rather than give up, I decided to give it the 'olde worlde' photograph look and try to create the feeling of an image taken in 1916 rather than 2016.
