Clinging On

This has been one of the driest and calmest autumns I can remember, in Scotland at least.  So the colours remain intense and often (like today)  they stand out against a perfect blue sky.

The absence  of the usual gales means that at  the very tops of trees and bushes there are a few leaves that are still slightly green and clinging on.
