Scroggling the holly at Haworth

Out today with our walking group for the Railway Children walk from Haworth to Oxenhope, and then to Oakworth.
A lovely late Autumn day. Just decided to drizzle as we stopped for our packed lunch, but fortunately the sun came out again in the afternoon.
The ladies finished back in Haworth to watch the Scroggling the Holly celebrations.
Unfortunately we were just too late for the procession up the Main Street,  see last times blip   but managed to see the children outside the church.( see extra photo)
My favourite photo was this one of a Morris dancer. I asked if I could take his photo and he kindly obliged. ( never done this before)
Couldn't believe it was then warm enough for us to sit outside a cafe, up the main street, for tea and toasted tea cakes.
The men had  decided to go to the pub to have a few pints and put the world to rights, among other things! !
( I drove home!)
What a great day.
