Two Cathedrals in two days...

Yesterday it was St Albans and today it was Ely.  As we usually do we went off to the Advent Procession with Carols at Ely Cathedral.  The place was packed and everyone had a candle which makes for a tremendous atmosphere. Christmas is Coming!

The photograph is The Porta or Walpole's Gate by streetlight.  Started in 1397 it was the main gate to the medieval monastery, it looks today pretty much as it looked then (except for the street-lamps).
