Meddling with medlars

Graham picked the fruit from our Medlar tree yesterday and here they are. They don't look very appealing and I'm told it's an acquired taste but they can be eaten apparently. They need to be left 2-3 weeks after picking until they have 'bletted' that is gone brown before they are edible. Anyway, it makes a good photo!
