Daily Doldrums

By Frank1

A sun rises in the East

An old sun returns to seat in the endless circle as the soft rays of the star flourish the morning sky with the promise of a new day.

And as the mellow, nonchalant light emerges to kiss the creatures of this wonderful, big blue world of ours, I sigh a smoke as the astronomical daylight marks a milestone in my life.

19.

The edge, the brink of an end of an era. A conclusive scene stands between the teenage years of my life.

19.

An epoch of free will, freedom from the grinning lips of responsibilities, a term of childish and juvenile behavior stand on the last step.

Soon 20. The promise of handling charge. Bearing the straining sensation of constraints. A decade of lost free will, thinning number of kisses on cheeks, thinning friends, diminishing periods of laying in beds with no fowl temptation of growing up.

But the sorrow of a human soul is subject to change, a topic that could turn itself opposite at the tug on the heart strings, on the fruitful, luscious will of reviving a crumpled up dream.

The slinky smile prods me to snap the beauty of the birds on the heart throbbing background.

An year older.
A bit wiser.

" Tomorrow we will run faster, stretch out our arms farther.... And one fine morning-- So we beat on, boats against the current, borne back ceaselessly into the past.”
