Lion's Head

Cape Town is really a very beautiful city. We did a big shop this morning down at the waterfront and then did a tour of the city on a hop on hop off bus. It was really well done and I think I got a good overview of the city. We went up the cable car to Table Mountain. Not a particularly good day for it as there were clouds blowing over the mountain, it was freezing and in the end, visibility was virtually nil. A city of contrasts. The beautiful seaside suburbs of Camp Bay and Clifton (as seen here with Lion's Head) in contrast with townships on the way to the airport. You can also see Robben Island where Nelson Mandela was imprisoned.

Definitely a place to return to, it had such a good feel and the people were lovely. Oh and can't really tell you much about the red leggo man who is really a red cocoa cola man (made of coca cola crates thank you Dolphin) other than he has been there since at least the World Cup.

I tried finding something for my 500th blip but there was nothing really that showed itself. Thanks for hanging in with me, dropping by and your comments etc and being so supportive. I do appreciate it all. Thanks for your friendships. Thanks to blip central. This is likely to be farewell now until early September unless miracle of miracles there is fast internet in Madagascar. Pigs might fly too...
