Home 2

An early start saw us leave Cumbria in the dark - but it seems however early you set off the chaos of Manchester Airport nowadays always conspires to make you feel thankful to be on the plane when it takes off. If it was a brewery everybody would be very very sober.....

We're heading to home number two and whilst we're here I'll be chairing the AGM of the British Association of International Mountain Leaders and attending a course on high altitude medicine - the flight out had quite a few other delegates on board - so it looks like we'll have a good turnout.

Arriving in St Gervais the hills have been stripped of a lot of snow by the recent foehn winds and whilst its now bitterly cold its great to have such wondwrful blue skies to see the high mountains with, everything looks stunning - hopefully it will continue for a while.
