A surprise

When we moved into our new house in July, you couldn't see the church from our back garden, due to the leaves. I don't know why it took me by surprise to see it through the branches as I went out this afternoon to (belatedly) rake some leaves off the lawn, but surprise me it did.

(For once I even had my camera to hand, rather than relying on my phone to snap the shot!)
