Scarlet Runner Beans

We harvested the very last bit of our garden today.
Scarlet Runner beans were planted to decorate their corner of the garden with the bright red flowers they produce .
We let the pods go all the way to dried husks for the big lima type beans.
What a surprise to find these colorful gems inside the pods.
They're almost too pretty to eat!
