Triffid?

No...... The local council has decided that this lovely old lamp post should be replaced by a modern one. It was partly dug up when it fell forward and crashed down, landing on the railings by the roadside. It has now been in that position for almost a week, awaiting the next stage of its demise. It still works and certainly casts a very odd glow in the darkness.
