Christmas cactus

Christmas cactus are no respecter of dates, but this one has nearly got it right! Whenever they appear they are very welcome because of their brilliant colour. This flower is on a small plant which was a cutting from a huge old specimen which had outgrown its space and had to go.
I had a hospital letter today changing the date of an appointment from 11.30 am on 12 December to 11.30 am on 12 December! I just hope they are more efficient in their medical procedures than they are with their appointment system!
