The gathering

Was shopping in Castleford this afternoon, suddenly hearing a commotion up in the trees I looked up to see all the starlings gathering.
Getting ready to settle somewhere for the night.

When I worked in the city many years ago my office was on the third floor and the building old, as it got dark the pigeons used to nestle on the windowsills close to the glass to keep warm.
