Bored with bees after my weekend blips, I decided it was time for a complete change.

So here's a fly. On a flower. Snapped with my compact.

Please look large to see him in all his hairy golden glory.

I used manual exposure with a fast shutter and flash to get enough light on the fly without having the background illuminated too much. I thought it was pretty cool that the compact could use flash at such a high shutter speed.
