...Brixton

...'Beehive Place in Brixton is a narrow ‘L’ shaped alley connecting the thriving market street, Brixton Station Road with Brixton’s primary artery, Brixton Road. The lane, whilst located in the heart of Brixton, is an unwelcoming place. Bordered on one side by the monolithic blank red-brick wall of the Recreation Centre and the back gates of the Businesses on Brixton Road on the other, the lane is poorly lit, a fly-tipping hotspot and often used as a public toilet owing to its secluded nature which also poses a threat to personal safety. Beehive place is a forgotten space with huge potential.' smallworldurbanism
