The Palm Tree Got a New Haircut

A few nights ago there was a severe windstorm that lasted for hours. The palm tree at the end of the block threw off a huge number of old heavy fronds, most of which landed on the power line below: two blinding flashes and noise loud enough to jump people out of their nice warm beds. And a power failure stretching over many many blocks. The tree guys were there this morning, giving the tree the equivalent of a bowl haircut. Nothing will be falling from there soon.
