Some Days

Under the Blanket

The pond at Archerfield, East Lothian.

It is actually a small lake because it is fed and drained by a stream, Eel Burn.

Big small lake

The burn skirts the big field which is used by the neighbouring golf club, Renaissance, as a turf nursery.

Unfortunately, though, all the rain we have had this summer has washed all the turf fertiliser into the burn, into the pond, and fed this enormous bloom of blanket weed.

I think all the tadpoles made it,though
