Fishing below Amber Fort

Great day out with Naresh in his Marigold TukTuk - went to see the plot of land that he has bought and met his neighbour who has two buffalo in her little yard and makes a living selling the milk to customers near the fort.  She made us chai and we sat on her step to drink and chat.  Then we visited another neighbour who is building his house adjacent to Naresh's plot.  There two brightly dressed girls were carrying bricks up to the first floor on their heads.  Another was carrying a bowl of cement.  Three men were laying the bricks and another was sifting sand for cement.  They reckon to finish a new house in about two months.  At that rate we'd be able to house all our homeless very quickly in uk.

Went to find a beautiful step well and walked round temples and lakes - watching bee eaters and boar and meeting all sorts of young men dying to shake my hand and show off their English and show me around.  I'll  putphotos on picasa but connection is difficult at the moment.  So no commenting but thanks to everyone who is looking, commenting and giving stars - they are much appreciated. I am posting portraits here.

Then lunch in an open restaurant overlooking a road on which passed elephants, camels and all the rest of the world.about 8 feet from my face!  Had delicious cheese paratha (I extracted most of the chilli), very hot sauce containing peas and plenty of yoghourt to cool it down.

Will try to sort picasa tomorrow when hopefully the internet will be less busy.
