Rousay from Evie

Looking across the Sound of Eynhallow. A walk up to the RSPB hide on Birsay Moors. Greylags, goldeneye, wigeon and mallard on the loch. I had nice views of a hunting hen harrier (a ringtail). At one point it rested by the loch-edge and a pair of mallard looked unhappy at its presence swimming nearby and giving the harrier the beady eye. Then a walk down to the shore of the sound. The tide was quite high but lots of purple sandpiper, ringed plover, turnstone, redshank etc.
