Finished

I finished the clearing of the area I started on Friday last week. This pine tree has probably been finished by an elk. They like the tops and top branches of young pines, which have been eaten in this case too. Usually they snip the tops of smaller trees, but it seems that even 3-4 metres tall pines are in danger as they can bend them to get to the top.

We haven't had many elks around after the new main road was opened 14 years ago. It's fenced to prevent accidents with elks and after the hunting season that year elks have been rare between the road and Lake Näsijärvi. Anyway, there are occasional visitors, so some damage occurs.
