Frost

Frost is one of those words that is the same in German & Englisch - der Frost. 

Most weather phenomena are masculine - der Regen (rain), der Nebel (fog), der Schauer (shower), der Wind (ooh guess), der Schnee (snow). But weather itself - das Wetter...

You think you've got a topic sussed and German pulls the rug from under you.  Every time.

Saturday was cold but didn't involve going to stupid furniture stores.  You may be delighted to know that the ceramic horse from yesterday is available in a 188cm (6ft 3") version for only 1500 Euro - you could have a herd (or half a herd) of them.

But only if you were very rich and very stupid.
