Going, going .....

The final day of the BTO conference. More brilliant talks. One of them was about the danger one of my favourite birds is in. They aren't doing too bad around here, but I was shocked to see how much the population has crashed in Ireland, where they are in danger of extinction if current trends continue.
Another talk informed us of the amazing work that is being done with satellite tagging of birds, which is shedding some astonishing light on the movements of all kinds of birds across the globe.
