Great Scott!

We flew up to Edinburgh this morning for a short break to celebrate Tess's birthday, which is today.

The Christmas Market is in full swing, if you'll forgive the pun, at the park end of Princes Street and I thought this breathtaking fairground ride made an interesting juxtaposition with the famous Scott Monument.

We enjoyed a wander round the market, a swim in the hotel pool and have just got back from a birthday celebration curry.
