Harakeke with bee

I grabbed the camera several times today to try and get the tui on the flax but they escaped me everytime.
So a bee on the flax it is. This is one of the small ornamental flaxes. All the extra rain seems to have made for plenty of flowers and sent them shooting sky high.

Would you believe those teenagers came into the street again last night about 8pm trying car doors and garage doors. This time they were seen by somebody and two chaps chased them while we rang police who came after them in hot pursuit. They tore through our property, over the fence and into the high school. CCTV footage will show them this time as they had to go further down to get out into the grounds.
They had already been disturbed in a nearby street and the people knew them so the police should have enough to charge them with something. They haven't managed to get any of our other stuff back.
All very unsettling but at least we know we have good neighbours. Barbed wire being added to our fence which may or may not delay them if they go through again.
