80 Years of Cendol

I went back to one of my favourite food stalls in Penang: a very famous cendol vendor. By complete chance they were celebrating their 80th birthday.

For a while now, I've wanted to either write about this (and a few other) stalls, but the language barrier is a problem. Owen Tan, son of the current owner and grandson of the founder, started to talk to me about the charities they're donating all revenue to for the whole day. I took the chance to ask lots of questions and take photos.

I got his contact details and I'm in the process of writing an article about the history of the stand. I'll post the link here when it's ready.
