Ras el hanout in the making…….

…..well, it's ras el hanoutish……didn't have any any cardamom pods or enough black peppercorns so I'm using star anise and sichuan pepper instead (the process prompted by finding a pack of dried rose petals that are nearing their 'best by' date, not because I'm planning on making an imminent tagine, though that might happen tomorrow!)……the whole spices are roasting and it's smelling good so far……

PS….This is just a 'representative sample' of the constituent parts purely for blip purposes ;-)
