Story Bridge

A trip to Brisbane for a market research do which was held at a hotel near the Story Bridge.
 The bridge construction was commenced in July 1935 and it was opened in July 1940. It connects Kangaroo Point with Fortitude Valley across the Brisbane River. 
The length of the bridge is 777 metres, there are 1.5 million rivets in the bridge and it is repainted every 7 years using 17500 litres of paint. 
 It is named after John Douglas Story, a Queensland public servant and was designed by John Bradfield, who also designed the Sydney Harbour Bridge.
