Selfies from the Brink

Luna

Another day spent indoors. Another photo session experimenting with different sources of light and manual settings. The victim this time was Luna, our Husky.
The idea was to show Luna emerging from a white background. I'm not completely satisfied with the result, and there were a couple of other settings I wanted to try, but at some point Luna, the poor girl, made it clear that the shoot was over. She had been sitting perfectly still for a couple of minutes and thought that was enough.

(In case you wonder why there are no outdoor shots with our dogs: We take them out twice a day, before 6 AM and after 6 PM, when the temperatures are down. And there would be lovely opportunities to photograph them, but crime rates have gone up considerably during last year as the political and economic crises in our country has gone into it's third year. It would be too risky to take the camera outside with nowhere to run to.
And sometimes it's just the weather: See the extra. That's how the sky looked in the morning after a tremendous storm hit us in the night. The streets are now practically lakes and rivers.)
