Long Jawed Orb Weaver

Long Jawed Orb Weavers are faster walking over water than land. This one was beside my pond a perfect place for this type of spider where they like to hang out and wait for damselflies and mosquitos. Their web is often horizontal which was the case with this one. The females are 6.5 to 11mm long, the males are 6-9 mm and they both have very long legs and abdomens.
