Sally Army

I popped into Stratford today to do the banking for work, and at the top of the main thoroughfare, Bridge Street, the Salvation Army band were in full force with their Christmas Carols, and sounded very cheery indeed. I bet they were pleased it was nice and sunny and warm today and not as cold as last week.
Many years ago (even before my time!) There used to be a row of houses down the middle of Bridge Street, (see link for an old photo) and they started just about where the band were sitting, which is now the pedestrian crossing refuge island / bicycle stand.
