Sgwarnog: In the Field

Parade

The players parade onto the pitch at Valley Parade, with League Two Cambridge United the visitors in this EFL Trophy second round tie.

Bradford fielded a relatively strong team, perhaps spurred into action by early exits from the League and FA Cups already this season. The EFL Trophy is the competition that nobody likes, but someone's got to win it, and there is a Wembley visit at stake.

It was an edgy first half. The "U"s were fashionably pressing high up the pitch, which led to City passing backwards more than forwards. In the second half Bradford showed a bit more intent and took the lead through a smart Nicky Law header. There were a few scares at the other end, but overall the Bantams were dominant and saw out a deserved 1-0 win.

In extras, City's Timothee Dieng appears to cast a look in my direction during the warm-up.
