The Lozarithm Lens

Pewsham (Wednesday 7th December 2016)

I spent some time in the garden in the morning 'helping' Refna, and as it was quite sunny I had an early lunch and set off to do a circular walk around Pewsham, on the outskirts of Chippenham. It was over a year since I'd done a similar walk down to the section of the Wilts and Berks Canal, where the Pewsham locks are being restored. Work is progressing which perversely made it look worse as they have removed a lot of brickwork for inspection and renovation, and surrounded it with barriers and building machinery, so I decided not to blip it.

The aeroplane is Bertie, a familiar site around Chippenham and Calne, as it makes its daily training flight. It used to be based at RAF Lyneham but I'm not sure where it lives now.

Lozarhythm of the Day:
Orchestra/Nitin Sawhney - The Animal Symphony (2016)

Chris Packham leads a remarkable experiment which aims to determine the effect music has on animals, culminating in a unique concert orchestrated by acclaimed composer Nitin Sawhney
Fascinating documentary and concert that I watched on this day
