Geometry

Thought that the lid of our 5-in-1 game set would make a good base for this week's Abstract Thursday theme of Geometry.  Had a bit of fun with it.
Another quick trip to town to pick up a couple of things that I forgot yesterday.  :(  Very busy in Thrifty's, hard to find a parking spot, everyone preparing for the snow that's supposed to come overnight.  The forecast keeps changing so we'll see what happens.
G got the best birthday gift ever from friends who moved to Halifax this summer.   G's family arrived at Pier 21 in Halifax, Nova Scotia from Italy on the Saturnia.  Our friends sent a framed photo of the Saturnia and a framed certificate from the Canadian Museum of Immigration at Pier 21 congratulating G on 60 years in Canada, signed by the Chief Operating Officer and the Chairperson.  The certificate says:
"Canada is a country of immigrants characterized by the bravery and hard work that are required to begin again in a new land.  Thank you for choosing Canada.  It has been a better country since you arrived.  Sincere best wishes from the Board of Trustees, staff and volunteers at the Canadian Museum of Immigration at Pier 21."
Our friends  also sent historical information about the Saturnia and some stories from people who also came to Canada on the ship.  We cried when G opened the parcel.  Such a thoughtful gift from dear friends and something very special to pass down to future generations.  It really touched our hearts.
