Taking it all in.

Today we went shopping in Kathmandu with Dawa and Ishawri, who had been our guides in Langtang. We bought Ishawri a sewing machine, so that she can set up a sewing & repair business in her village in Langtang. Here she is learning how to thread the machine, after being shown how to assemble the treadle. It will be carried up the valley by donkeys. I also bought them trainers & boots, as Ishawri had done the trek in flipflops. She called us her fairy Godmothers. So humbling - they ask for nothing, and would give you everything.
