ALL EARS

I stopped briefly at my one of my favourite fungus sites in the park today, but the light was dreadful. This 'ere ear fungus is the only photo that came out at all in focus or unpixellated. However, I did spot a visiting goosander which flew away before I could snap it. I'll look out for it in case it's going to pay any more visits.

Oh, and when I opened my washing machine at the end of a wash this afternoon, smoke and a worrying smell came out of the drum. Strangely, the washing was fine… damp and cool and nothing felt hot, but I suspect that I'm going to be spending more than I wanted to this month. :-(
