Second Bloom

Here it is Friday again and my orchid bargain from the summer has sent out three new branches with several flowers on each branch.  It's a welcome sight on this very cold December with the high being 33F.  The next couple of days are going to be even colder with highs in the teens.  

Finally did get the tree all decorated and even started some Christmas shopping.  Even made a batch of cookies (which I'm guarding with an iron fist as I'd like to have some left closer to the big day).  Freezing them used to keep them somewhat safe, but not the case any more, they're on to that trick.
