XI Olympiad Berlin 1936

I went out to the site of the 11th Olympic Games in Berlin in 1936. It is difficult to imagine the atmosphere of an Olympic games session veiled with propaganda, whisperings of war coming and political unrest. A far cry from the celebrations of the present day Olympic sessions...

The German's have done a great job of maintaining the park as well as telling the story of their conception and aftermath - a very interesting day out! I hope London do as well with preserving the mood and legacy of the games.
