Ramblings from Zambia....

Victoria falls bridge....

This morning I set off with Rev Kabaghe to Livingstone which is about 7 hours south of Lusaka!  We had a good journey, and of course went to visit the falls!  We knew the water was low due to the drought in Zambia so there would be no spray and we would not need our waterproof coats! Actually, there was little water flowing over  but it is still mighty impressive!

This is the Vic falls bridge which spans from Zimbabwe on the left to Zambia on the right.  There are border posts on each end of the bridge!  It was interesting to note as we were walking along the path over the gorge that we could see on the Zimbabwe side there are no railings - you can walk straight to the edge...on the Zambian side was have railings but even today it was slippy and you could easily slip through if you lost your footing! (not much health and safety here!!)  It is 20 years since I last visited Livingstone...I hope its not another 20 until I am back!!

We enjoyed our afternoon, the meeting we came for is in the morning tomorrow!
