Small Towns in the Country

On our way home from the wedding weekend (go back to August 18) via two lane roads and untraveled geography through wheat fields, along Roosevelt Lake formed by the Grand Coulee Damn and some small towns that are largely untouched by 21st century buzz and connections. The ice cream bar in this "everything" store in Davenport, WA captures this. It is HOT but there is a promise of storms and cool only that means lightening in this tinder dry country. Fires have already narrowed our route choices. Tomorrow will tell -------.
