Warwick Castle

We went to Warwick today to meet up with Maureen and Ian then walk over to the castle where they had an annual pass plus a couple of spare tickets.

It's a few years since we've been there and had a good couple of hours wandering around including going up the battlements where this photo was taken. Apparently it costs extra to go round the dungeons these days, I'm afraid the place is becoming a bit of a theme park now, though without the rides, but it was interesting to go into the Great Hall and the staterooms which are looking Christmassy.

After we went for coffee at the Dough and Brew, an interesting place which was showing a film, The Holiday, made in 2006 starring Cameron Diaz, Kate Winslet and Jude Law (that's not the reason we went there, we only wanted a drink).
