Willamette River Gathering

Inflammatory statements and vociferous threats made during the presidential campaign by the president-elect have frightened citizens and emboldened hate groups.  At a community gathering hosted by the Portland Japanese American Citizens League at the historical plaza which honors the lives of thousands of Japanese interned during WWII, community speakers addressed the crowd.  Civic leaders, speakers representing minority communities, and a high school student spoke eloquently.  The  message is, we will stand together… “Never Again.”
