On the Glen Estate

This is the gardening headquarters of the Glen Estate.   When there were 15 or so gardeners employed it would be pretty busy.   Today the task of keeping the vast gardens and estate grounds in order must be impossible.    This is at the heart of the village that grew round the big House.   A Post Office, a Village Hall, a Schoolhouse - many little dwellings.

I was looking at the House itself and wondering what on earth happens to the scores of rooms in the large sprawling property.   The Tennant family, (whose ancestor was responsible for all the building - and built well) are doing a stalwart job at seeking new, modern use and purpose for it all.
