Not long to go...

... until it's the shortest day, thank goodness, then gradually we'll start to see an end to these afternoons when it's dark by four o'clock.

However, once the lamps are lit, the curtains drawn and the fire glowing, it's lovely to settle in for the night. Having said that, I'm going out tonight to a music evening in the library, so I won't be lighting the fire.

At the moment Pookie is curled up on the sofa beside me, but maybe you can see her in her earlier spot.
