It doesn't seem like a year!

That's what I always say when we put the decorations up.   We had kept last year's tree in the garden but, as reported in a blip recently, it was coated in a liberal layer of guano and was really looking a bit pathetic.  It was already small last year and seems to have shrunk.  The word 'puny' was used several times when we got it in.

We have therefore sent it back out into the garden to grow a bit more and bought a ridiculously expensive Nordman Fir from Waitrose.   It does look nice though.
