Waxwing!

We got word after lunch today that there were waxwings lurking near Doune so off we went. Drove up to the local antique centre and there they were feasting on berries by the side of the car park. Quick note, waxwings never travel solo, there is always a mob of them, in this case, some 30/40 or so. Now this is where my little camera really struggles. Given a small target to focus on, it just can't cope and, of the dozens of shots taken, this is the only one anything like in focus. #reallyhackedoff!
My extra offering today was taken at dawn when we were walking Rona round the Kelpies (or "Pelpies" in grandson James speak). Quite a variety of boats moored on the canal, some clean & smart and some, it must be said, barely sea-worthy. As I rather like boats, it just makes me want to get the sandpaper, paint and brushes out!
