Giant bowl

I learned that this and others are part of an art project from the early 1990s. I got a picture of a piece from this project last year and didn't know what it was. Now I do. A dozen or so of these bowls, pots and cups were installed at a cost of nearly $500,000 along state Route 51.

It was controversial because of the cost, the artists are from Massachusetts, they aren't Southwest related, and they make no sense.
