Backblip:

We spent 2 nights in a lovely little apartment, in Seaforth, near Halifax.  After a busy time here we thought a couple of days away would be relaxing!   Ha....the drive down was horrible, snowing, raining....and we had a late start (long story).   Finding our accommodation in the dark was a bit of a challenge, however, once we arrived, our lovely host Liz, insisted on feeding us to save us going back out to find a pub or whatever.  It was above and beyond her commitment...we had only rented the apartment, breakfast wasn't even included!   So we settled into our new digs, and then had a lovely evening with Liz and her mum...Welsh folks....and had a wonderful dinner.

The Monday  was still hellish weather wise so after a bit of a quiet breakfast and relaxing time....we headed out onto the stormy roads and did the bit of shopping we needed to do.  Going to the big city is always a good time to get some things that are a little harder to come by up here.....like art supplies!!   Dinner with Randy in our favorite sushi place and back home.

This was taken on tuesday, the sun was shining but it was damn cold.  After another leisurely morning we drove off to explore the area!   Down little roads that led to the sea, and fishing villages, it was lovely.   Our apartment was in a small jut of land, overlooking the ocean, see the extra for the little shed at the entrance to their home!   We found this fabulous beach with amazing surf and at last got out of the damn car and had a great walk.

The drive home was again a bit of a challenge but we made it - only to find that the driveway was impassible.....so we hoofed it down our driveway, with all our stuff on sleds, which richard had kindly left at the top for us!

It was an interesting trip, a real mixture...mostly good i think, but it is lovely to be back home!   Especially since it's still snowing!
