Wired Thistle

(much) Better luck today with all things infrared (see Friday's Blip). These rather large thistles appealed to me this morning. The purple haze is typical of the HoyaR72 filter when used with my Pentax.

Originally, I wanted to take a non-IR shot, getting the outline or silhouette with the sun shining from behind it, but did not succeed. So I took this instead!
