What a day

Mr H and I have been playing in a school Carol concert this evening in a 7 piece brass ensemble. It was wonderful to see all the children - primary school age - all really enjoying the music they were making. One little girl looked so cute even I thought so . (I'm not renowned for my maternal instincts!). The church had many decorated trees so I took the opportunity to get my blip.

'Payment' for helping out was a drink in the pub, but we ended up eating there too, and had a lovely social evening. We've been invited back for next year too.

On a sadder note I heard today that a true gentlemen who used to play in the band had passed away, far too young. RIP John, you'll be missed.
